Security
Prism International Airport is one of the most secure airports ever constructed. All security officials must have 3 years of experience before they can be employed, and everything is screened by a team of 300 committed security officers behind-the-scenes as well as 100 officials at the checkpoints. The checkpoints have a very unique layout, with 20 elevators at each that travel between floors 1 and -1 (the link level). These elevators screen passengers while descending, and if everything is clear, the doors will open at -1 and the passenger will be directed to exit. If something is not clear, a rear set of doors opens instead of the main ones where passengers receive additional screening. The screening process takes approximately 15 seconds per passenger (assuming everything is cleared on the first scan), and each checkpoint can screen approximately 40 passengers per minute. The entire airport can screen 400 passengers per minute across ten checkpoints.
After passengers exit the security elevators, they can proceed to their terminal or take escalators or elevators to one of the five aboveground floors for shops and services.
