history
this mall was built in 1960 as part of the Cliveden development project, it originally had 2 floors, LL and GL, until a third floor got added on in 2006, it also houses Cliveden's largest freight elevators, which hold a whopping 30,000lbs and can easily fit 4 to 6 smart cars in it, and they also use 2 hydraulic rams to hold the entire car up instead of one, these freighters were installed by Elevonic in 2006 as part of the expansion. the passenger elevators are original to the mall, only they were modernized by Elevonic. they were originally Otis hydraulics, but were converted into more energy efficient MRL tractions. there are 2 department stores in the mall, both original and expanded in 2006, although KONE modernized those elevators with KSS-500 fixtures and the same MRL conversion that the mall elevators went through. All of the escalators that serve floors LL to GL remain original to date, but the escalators to UL from GL were installed in 2006 as add-ons to the original escalator banks. Cliveden mall also has plenty of parking, both underground on floor LL and on the surface. The only elevator that is left original is the old elevator in one of the stores, it is not an Otis though, it is an old Rokirk from 1960, and can only fit 2 people in it
