Observation Decks

Chiefboz Tower features three observation decks. The first is the Lower View Observation Deck, located on the 125th floor. Like the Sears Tower's secondary Skydeck, this lower deck is used instead of The View when maintenance is in progress on The View. Lower View is located directly above Deck 123, the tower's restaurant. Visitors may ride escalators between these two locations. The Lower View deck is always open.

The second deck is called The View, and it's the main observation deck of Chiefboz Tower. The top of The View is higher up than the top of the Diamond View Observation Deck of Triton Center III. It's a three-story area spanning floors 162 to 164. Visitors enter from the scenic elevators or interior elevators on level 163.

The highest observation deck is called The Spire. Not to be confused with escalatorgeek881's building, The Spire Observation Deck spans floors 202 through 205. Visitors ride a scenic, interior or service elevator up to level 200, take escalators or a ramp to 201, and then board a double deck elevator to floor 204, situated thousands of feet above the ground. This is higher than Sky I. The elevator shaft up to The Spire is lined with antennas that transmit various signals from the Broadcast Center out to the city of Prism. The TVs in The Spire, however, are linked directly to the Broadcast Center to ensure maximum quality. The double deck elevators can complete a one way journey in less than 45 seconds.

Releases

Pre-releases

Chiefboz released the tower periodically throughout the coding process to give users and fans a chance to see what the finished product would look like. The downloads were made available at the SourceForge project page.

Pre-release 1

The first pre-release contained the lobby, mezzanine and parts of the conference levels. There were no elevators, and the only way to get between floors was to change the building's code. It was released on November 15, 2011.

Pre-release 1.1

The first pre-release's first update contained elevators connecting the conference floors, mezzanine, and lobby. It was released on December 3, 2011.

Pre-release 2

The second pre-release will contain the remainder of the lower setback floors, up to and including floor 52 (the office skylobby). Elevators will connect these floors and the conference levels will be finished. Pre-Release 2 has not been released yet.

Main releases

The building is still in the pre-release stage; as such, it has not been fully released yet.
